Amazon, in general, seems to be a nightmare all around. They pull this type of crap, they treat their employees like crap, they knowingly let scammers operate on their website and erase negative comments sharing their frustration, suspending users for reporting said scammers lol Its a shame they "donate" so much money to the government, otherwise our public servants might actually do something about them.

The insurance NPCs don’t care. They are paid hourly to sit at home and take/make calls. Everything you say to them goes into one ear and out of the other. They probably hear the same thing a thousand times a day, nothing you say to them will make a difference. Appeal to OOIDA and your local federal representatives to make change if you want it. Crying to insurance brokers on the phone isn’t going to change anything. All of the insurance companies work together to raise the rates. They have figured out that there is no reason to compete with each other when they can all get together and raise rates collectively and in turn bully us into having to pay more because they know insurance is required by law. Also, progressive quoted me a 38% increase on a renewal back in march for my pickup and KLR 650. I’m a truck driver too, no accidents, tickets, violations etc in 15 years. They wouldn’t give me a reason. I pleaded for an explanation, but came to the aforementioned conclusion. Best of luck. God bless you and the family driver.

I always negotiate double on the original rate to return a load back to the shipper or I will have to cross dock which will add to the rate to include drop pay or find another buyer which again will add to the rate which also will include drop pay.

See bro this is the reason l will never go OTR or regional as a company driver. You already don’t get paid enough per mile, and if the owner ops are getting screwed on detention pay you can imagine how bad the company drivers get fleeced. Held hostage on a load for a company that doesn’t care about you. The new guys and girls of the industry are made to believe they don’t have a choice, but you do! By letting these companies continue to screw you over, it’s making it hell for everyone else. If you’re going to run as a company driver, go flatbed or tanker! No waiting, in and out, and in most cases you can find you a job locally with better pay. Be blessed!

I think thats pretty darn smart to use the truck to work and have fun like that. Sure the boys are having a blast in the truck. Makes me think I could get into the trucking biz, but unfortunately, I live in NE OK and dont think it would be a good environment to do quick loads and be back as much as you are. Would be longer hauls as there is not much around for loads.

If you tinted you trailer home windows it will save you alot of money I did it myself to my mother home and drop the power bill by $75 a month and also give you more privacy and your guests
